Our Journey so Far
From a small group of concerned citizens, a blossoming charity evolved
Tir Natur was established in 2022 by a group of Welsh individuals who were deeply concerned about the state of nature in our country and believe that a new way forward is possible. We came together with a shared understanding of the scale of the problem that faces us and a determination to act. In such a short space of time we have come so far, but there is much work ahead of us.

Our Story. Ein Hanes ni.
In the first year of our journey our focus was on building a community and building support. We reached out to individuals and organisations in Cymru who shared our values to deliver our message. A message that more was needed; more action and more ambition for nature.
We have connected with farmers and conservationists, academics, authors and policy makers, featuring in books, news articles and research projects. A foundation for our work was established.
This year, Tir Natur has amplified its voice. We have been hard at work attending events, from the Royal Welsh to the Eisteddfod, Stand for Nature Youth Summit to the Restore Nature Now march in London. But our work is only just beginning.
